Beginning in her living room and her local ballet academy, Kelsey has now been dancing and choreographing for over 30 years. A UCSB Dance Major and pole instructor certified through elevatED (level 1 & level 2), Kelsey’s style is a mix of classical dance, sensual, and bellydance. She is a Santa Barbara native raising her 2 beautiful children in beautiful Santa Barbara. She still finds time to perform all over California with the punk rock band, the “Dtease,” while dancing, teaching and performing as much as possible.
What her students say about her:
“Kelsey is an empowering and very skilled teacher. She starts from exactly where you are and will teach you technique, flow and grace but most importantly how to feel great in your body! What I find unique and special about her teaching is her impeccable technique. Technique helps build strength while staying completely safe, which comes through from her long background in ballet. Her classes are fun, very helpful in building skill and a fantastic workout!" ~ Nicole Ramirez (Seventh Dimension Dance student)

Teacher of Open Pole, and Sub for Pole 1, Spins, and Tricks
Hello everyone! My name is Nicole Chan and I am happy to be part of the Seventh Dimension Family! I have played sports my entire life and started pole in 2014. I fell in love and haven't stopped since. I am a fan of power tricks, bendy tricks, low flow, and exotic style. My other interests include eating vast amounts of candy, wearing pjs almost everywhere, and my four-legged son, Sully. I teach open pole on Wednesdays for a fun workout!
Teacher of Beginner and Intermediate Tricks
Hi, my name is Ani and I’ve been doing pole since October 2017. I’m originally from San Diego. I grew up playing competitive volleyball and gymnastics. I love eating sushi and tacos. For fun I love watching the office with a glass of Sauvignon blanc in my hand. I’m also obsessed elephants, dogs and orcas.
Teacher of Hoops and Silk/Pole Fusion and Lollipop Lyra
Katelyn Carano took on the hoop name KitCat in 2012, and has been traveling the world, hoop in hand, ever since! Kat began hooping in San Diego, CA and started performing with the vivacious group, The Hoop Unit. Upon her move to Santa Barbara in 2013, she noticed the severe lack of hoop dance and quickly started a program for beginner and intermediate hoopers through UCSB's Recreation Department. Kat's performance credits include aerial dance, fire dancing, and character work locally and internationally. From corporate events to large-scale music festivals, her resume ranges from Lucidity Festival to the Burning Man Processional, to performing for Google Receptions and Lionsgate Films. But there is a special magic that comes with teaching and connecting individually with students that keeps her creativity inspired to keep teaching in her community!
Healing Arts Teacher
Karen is an international teacher and speaker. She has helped thousand of people from many walks of life connect to their success through practices that are practical and get results. Karen has extensive teaching experience in the healing arts of yoga, meditation, and the mind-body connection.
Karen creates meditations to help people transform and succeed in all areas of life through her online platform GABAI TV. She’s also a dancer and has been dancing with Seventh Dimension Dance since its inception. Out of a conversation between Harmony, the studio’s owner, and herself, an idea for a film experiment was inspired and a meditation was created specifically for a group of dancers from the studio to assist with mindset and for support in achieving tangible goals in their dance and in their lives. The results were mind blowing and the idea to offer a way of incorporating meditation into the practice of students coming to the studio flowed naturally from that. The meditation that was recorded for the project is available for download here ((link to https://www.gabaitv.com/product-page/all-things-are-possible. ))
Karen is available to support the dancers at Seventh Dimension Dance reach their dance/life goals using the tool of meditation. Email her firstname.lastname@example.org.

Advanced Pole Tricks
Hi everyone. I'm Catherine and I'm the instructor for Advanced PoleTricks. Growing up I competed in both gymnastics and cheerleading where I learned many of the foundational concepts to acrobatic movement. As I grew older, I stepped into the incredible and badass world of pole dancing. In my class, I like to focus on strength and flexibility development through acrobatic training. We'll focus on tricks seen at competition level 3 and above. So bring on all those wild and crazy trick combos you've been seeing on Instagram or YouTube. We'll dissect the movement and learn these new skills in a safe and controlled environment complete with mats and spotters

Introduction to Contemporary Pole Dancing
Hello! My name is Taylor McIntosh. I am teaching an Introduction to Contemporary Pole Dancing. I have been dancing for 22 of my 26 years of life, and I have been pole dancing for 1 year at Seventh Dimension Dance. I have fallen so deeply in love with pole. It has deeply impacted my health, my body image, and even the way I raise my two beautiful daughters here in Santa Barbara. When choreographing, I tend to draw influence from my love and study of musical theatre as well as from contemporary, modern, and jazz dance styles. I hope to see you in class to explore musicality and expression through pole dance with me!

Whether on a big stage or small intimate shows, she loves performing as much as she can. Especially when she’s dancing with Santa Barbara Glam Punk band The DTease.

What makes me a good teacher ?
Some of my students say I kick their asses. That’s number one reason that makes me an amazing teacher. What they usually mean by that statement is that give all my heart and energy in the class and as well as complete dedication and focus to each student depending on what they need to work more on. I don’t allow my students to give up on their goals or dreams. My high level of energy, my desire to see my students reach their goals by pushing their limits to the edges and my inner passion for my work makes me a unique teacher of my own kind”.
Therapeutic Pole Processing
Hi I am Dre and I have been dancing at 7D for a year and a half. I love the studio and the community that comes with it. I am a licensed psychotherapist who loves to utilize my platform to talk about mental health and make it a priority. Body movement is So important for both physical and mental health and the studio is a sanctuary for that. I want to create a class that allows us to process our emotions while physically working them out! I created Therapeutic Pole Processing class and it is held on Monday evening at 6:45. I have been a licensed therapist in private practice since 2011 here in SB. I have been in Santa Barbara my whole adult life and find that the community is one of the most special things about this beautiful town. I have utilized my mental health background in my dancing since I started- always tying my show case pieces into something that connects with mental health and a way to express myself!
Therapeutic Pole Processing is a spin on group therapy and working out! In this class you will learn and enhance your basic spins, tricks, and utilize choreography for the pole. We start the class exploring and processing the topic of the day with the help of the music and group participation. We journal, share, and put it all together to body movement, a really wonderful way to feel and heal with the beautiful community at Seventh Dimension Dance.
